If you want to carry out work that could be detrimental to the navigation of waters, you must have consent from the Board of Trade.
Work detrimental to navigation could be:
- construction, alteration or improvement works on, under or over part of the seashore that lays below the level of mean high water springs
- depositing any objects or materials on such a seashore
- removing any object or material on seashore that lays below the level of mean low water springs
You may have to provide plans or other information.
