UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT)

The UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT) provides rapid, coordinated and appropriate medical assistance in the immediate aftermath of humanitarian disasters.

Overview

We are seeking an NGO partner to lead the next iteration of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT).

UKaid has supported the UKEMT for over 10 years, to provide world class medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and outbreak teams that can deploy at 24 hours’ notice to provide emergency medical assistance following disasters.

What the fund will achieve

The lead partner will need to build on the UKEMT legacy to ensure:

  • UK maintains internationally recognised emergency medical teams
  • partnered countries have strong resilience to respond to national disasters
  • UK learning and engagement helps strengthen global emergency response system and WHO Emergency Medical Team Initiative

Applicants should provide a proposal of no more than 15 pages and complete the Application Administration Form.
