How to check if the LPO referral is complete

Version 1.0

Changes to previous version - new guidance

Step 1

Check the LPO referral and establish if the following information is on the referral

  • the end date of Income Support (IS)
  • whether the claim is deemed or voluntary
  • the date of the DWP interview.

If there is an end date for IS shown, a date of the interview or the date the LPO referral was completed by the DWP shown and the claim is deemed, the referral is complete.

If there is an end date for IS shown, a date of the interview or the date the LPO referral was completed by the DWP shown and the claim is voluntary or does not say

  • check the claim form TC600 for the customers signature
  • where the signature is present, the referral is complete.

If the above do not apply, the referral is not complete.
