How to update customer details using CBUS screens

Version 1.0

Changes to previous version - new guidance

Step 1

On your desktop

  • select the ‘CBUS’ icon twice in quick succession. You will be taken to the main screen
  • select ‘Case Details’
  • enter the customer’s Child Benefit reference number in the ‘Child Benefit Reference Number’ field
  • select the ‘A’ screen on the toolbar. You will be taken to the ‘Personal Details’ screen
  • select the ‘Payee’ screen
  • enter the POca account number in the ‘Bank A/C’ column
  • enter the POca sort code in the ‘Bank Sort Code’ column

then

  • go to .

Step 2

If the customer is moving from cashcheque to POca

  • select ‘Start’ in the ‘ACT Start or End’ column

then

  • go to .

If the customer is not moving from cashcheque to POca, go to .

Step 3

If the POca is in the customer’s name

  • select ‘Payee’ in the ‘A/C Title Code’ column

then

  • go to .

If the POca is not in the customer’s name

  • enter the account holder’s title in the ‘A/C Title Code’ column
  • enter the account holder’s name in the ‘A/C Title Code’ column

then

  • go to .

Step 4

If the customer is moving from cashcheque to POca

  • select ‘End’ in the ‘Cheque Start or End’ column
  • select ‘OK’
  • select the ‘E’ screen
  • select ‘End case and Award’ from the options available
  • select ‘Questions’ on the toolbar
  • select ‘Is this case to be cleared’ from the options available
  • select ‘Yes’
  • select ‘Update’. You have updated the customer’s details using the CBUS screens.

If the customer is not moving from cashcheque to POca

  • select ‘OK’
  • select the ‘E’ screen
  • select ‘End case and Award’ from the options available
  • select ‘Questions’ on the toolbar
  • select ‘Is this case to be cleared’ from the options available
  • select ‘Yes’
  • select ‘Update’. You have updated the customer’s details using the CBUS screens.
