TCM1000269 - How to check if Child Benefit correspondence is open or closed and if the renewal inhibited signal is set

Step 1

Access Child Benefit Service desktop icon

  • enter the customer’s NINO in the upper navigation bar and select ‘search’
  • check the customer’s name and address in the top left hand corner of the screen to ensure you select the correct customer details
  • check ‘account status’ in the top left hand corner of the screen
  • status will show as ‘Payment suspended in full’
