TCM1000035 - How to access the Rules Based Service - International right to reside test

Note: your manager will need to allocate you the RBS B and C Ops Guidance User role in SRS

From the ‘Start’ menu on your computer select ‘My Services’, then select

• Corporate Services

• Tax Credits

• RBS B and C Ops Guidance User

Once you have selected the above, you will be presented with the NINO entry screen. As the right to reside test is not reliant on customer data from NTC, select ‘submit’ without entering a NINO. You will be using this process in ‘View’ mode.

You will then be presented with a screen to confirm that you wish to use the service in ‘View’ mode, select ‘submit’.

After you choose ‘submit’ you will then need to select the link provided which will determine which process you wish to follow. The option for ‘International’ will be presented, tick the check box and select ‘submit’.

When you select ‘submit’ you will then be presented with the ‘right to reside’ option, check the ‘yes’ box and then select ‘submit’. Now select the link for ‘right to reside’.

This is now the point where you can select the relevant circumstances of the household you are dealing with. Rules Based Service will guide you through the process and provide the correct outcome based upon the circumstances selected in these screens.
