TCM0204200 - Passported benefits - Healthy Start vouchers: Healthy Start vouchers - temporary reference number cases (AG)

To deal with the NONO spreadsheet for issuing Healthy Start vouchers, consider steps 1 to 3.

Step 1

Use Function VIEW APPLICATION

  • enter the customer’s NINO in the Key Entry Data screen
  • select the All checkbox
  • select [OK]. You’ll be taken to the Select Application Screen
  • select the latest application
  • select [OK]. You’ll be taken to the Application Summary screen
  • select ‘VH’ on the toolbar menu. You’ll be taken to the View Application History screen
  • select ‘Ch’ on the toolbar menu. You’ll be taken to the Children screen
  • If the claim is traced, establish if entitlement to Healthy Start vouchers exists. Follow the guidance in TCM0204020
  • If entitlement to Healthy Start vouchers exists in the last four to six weeks, go to Step 2.
  • If no entitlement to Healthy Start vouchers exists in the last four to six weeks, enter ‘No Entitlement’ in the ‘Ind Award Date’ column on the spreadsheet. Take no further action.
  • If the claim can’t be traced
  • email the spreadsheet back to originator and ask them to provide the

customer’s name

customer’s address

customer’s date of birth

then

  • repeat the actions in this step from the beginning.

Step 2

Use Function VIEW AWARD

  • enter the customer’s NINO in the Key Entry Data screen
  • select the All checkbox
  • select [OK]. You’ll be taken to the Select Award screen
  • select the latest version of the claim
  • select [OK]. You’ll be taken to the Award Summary screen

Note: If the latest version of the award is at Statement of Account, check for the latest version of the claim that is at ‘Provisional’ or ‘Amended’.

Note: The claims on the spreadsheet will have been awarded within the last four to six weeks. You’re checking for the latest period with continuous entitlement to Healthy Start vouchers.

  • select [View Calculation]. You’ll be taken to the View Calculation screen
  • select [View Elements]. You’ll be taken to the View Elements screen
  • check for the earliest date when CTC only started to be paid
  • compare the period of entitlement to the start date given in the ‘Ind Award Date’ column on the spreadsheet
  • Note: If entitlement for CTC only exists at the start of the tax tear - for example 06/04/05 - check the previous year for any entitlement that runs up to this date.
  • If the start date is the same as the one on the spreadsheet, take no further action.
  • If the start date is different to the one on the spreadsheet
  • enter the start date of CTC only entitlement from the computer in the ‘Ind Award Date’ column on the spreadsheet

Save a copy of the spreadsheet to the shared folder
