RM3072 - Computer issued payable order: Large repayments

If the Repayment Release List is marked to show that an R49 is needed for a case, make further checks using the following table.

Size of repayment	What to do
More than 250,000 and up to and including 2,000,000	Make sure there is a correctly authorised form R49 with the claim.
More than 2,000,000	Make sure there is a correctly authorised form R49 with the claim.Before you repay telephone FAO (Cashiers) to agree the date of issue. (This content has been withheld because of exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act 2000) Tell them amount of the repayment, type of tax, name and address of the payee and the proposed date of issue.

When you have made the above checks

• enter the Release List number and date on the R49. The Release List number must be entered in place of the payable order number and the date of the Release List in place of the payable order date
• put the R49 copy in the establishment
• file initial and date the list alongside the R49 entry.
