ACP African, Caribbean and Pacific states
  Group 1 Brunei Darussalam, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
  Group 2 Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela
  Group 3 Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka (SAARC)
  CAP Common Agricultural Policy
  CEMA Customs and Excise Management Act 1979
  CFO Central Filing Office
  CFSP Customs Freight Simplified Procedure
  CHIEF Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight
  BIS Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) formally Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR)

  MAGHREB Group name for Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia
  MASHRAQ Group name for Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria

  NAS National Advice Service
  NIDAC National Import Duty Adjustment Centre
  OCT Overseas Countries and Territories (the dependant territories of the Member States of the Community)
  SAARC The South Asian Association for Regional Co operation (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka)
