EXPP3070 - International trade developments: new applicants

Economic operators involved in the international supply chain must be registered for an EORI number in the Member State in which they are established or with the customs authority responsible for the place where they first lodge a declaration or apply for a decision if they are not established in the customs territory of the Union.

Application forms and advice are available at EORI guidance on the GOV.UK internet site.

Normally the EORI application will be processed within one working day of receipt by the EORI team. It will take a further day to update Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) and the EU EORI systems. The applicant will be informed of the new EORI number and will be able to use it within 24 hours of receiving notification.
