EXPP2100 - National Export System (NES) and authorisation procedures: how do traders become authorised to operate export simplified procedures?

Application requests for SDP, EIDR or CSE should be sent to the Authorisations and Returns Team at the Leeds office. Application form to be used is a C&E 48, which can be obtained from HMRC section of GOV.UK.

Applications for DEPs should be sent to the Export unit of Expertise in Cardiff.  Application form to be used is a C&E 42 which can be obtained from HMRC section of GOV.UK.

Part of the authorisation process may involve a visit to the trader’s premises to perform assurance checks on their records and computer system before approval is granted.
