Community Sponsorship
The Community Sponsorship scheme allows groups of friends and neighbours, charities, and faith groups to support a family when they come to the UK.
Community Sponsors receive training and support from the charity Reset. You must be able to commit to offering support to a family for one year.
Community Sponsorship support includes:
- practising conversational English
- showing people around the local area
- registering children in schools and adults in English classes
- helping people access public services, for example, registering with a doctor
- setting up a bank account
- finding suitable housing
- arranging transport and running errands
