If you’re a director
Check the amount of National Insurance contributions deducted from your pay is correct.
If you’re an employer
Use the calculator to work out how much National Insurance you need to deduct from an directors’ pay.
If you’re a software developer
Check that the payroll software you’re developing is calculating National Insurance contributions for director’s correctly.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- the National Insurance contributions category letter
- the start date of the directors’ role
- the directors’ total pay to date
- contributions already made by the director and employer
