This calculator will let you check how much Income Tax an employee needs to pay in a pay period in the current tax year.
Before you start
You’ll need the:
- employee tax code
- payment date
- period of pay, which could be:
- weekly
- 2 weekly
- 4 weekly
- monthly
- amount paid before any deductions
From the previous pay period, you may also need the:
- total gross pay
- total tax due
- amount of tax not deducted due to the regulatory limit
