The Renters' Rights Act Information Sheet 2026 alternative formats

Accessible format copies of 'The Renter's Rights Act Information Sheet 2026' for landlords to give to their tenants in addition to the official PDF.

Applies to England

Most landlords and letting agents must have sent the official Information Sheet PDF to their tenants by 31 May 2026.

When a landlord must give the Information Sheet after 31 May 2026

The Information Sheet is a document produced by the government for tenants. It explains how their tenancy may be affected by the changes introduced by the Renters’ Rights Act 2025.

The following information only applies to landlords who gave a valid section 21 or section 8 notice to their tenant before 1 May 2026.  Where the notice is no longer valid or when the court process has finished, the tenancy will become an assured periodic tenancy. The rules under the Renters’ Rights Act will then apply to the tenancy.

If your tenant needs the Information Sheet in an alternative format, you can give them one of the documents we have provided here.

If you give your tenant an accessible format document, you must also give them the official Information Sheet PDF

Available alternative formats:

We do not provide copies in other languages.

We do not provide an editable (or MS Word) copy of the Information Sheet. Landlords and letting agents must give the official PDF ‘The Renters Right’s Act Information Sheet 2026’.
