For further information on the principles and operation of this fee-charging scheme please see: Fees for social housing regulation.

The registration criteria and the application process are explained in the guidance:

De-register as a provider of social housing

The regulator is undertaking a review of deregistration policy and will update the guidance and requirements shortly. However, we have published an updated voluntary deregistration application form for private registered providers of social housing based on the current requirements with obsolete questions regarding consents and land registry provisions removed. It will assist us in obtaining the correct information at the outset from providers applying for deregistration. Please ensure that you read the accompanying guidance before completing your application.
