How to apply for our Licence Management service

What you must do if you wish to use our Licence Management service.

Our Licence Management service gives you control over the licence applications of your staff. If you wish to use this service, you must apply for it.

How do I apply?

Step 1

Make sure that you can meet our requirements for using the Licence Management service. You may need to make changes to the way your business operates.

Step 2

Sign up to use our Licence Assist service (if you are not using it already). You must use our Licence Assist service for at least 6 months before you can use our Licence Management service.

Step 3

Get Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

Step 4

Submit your application. To do this you should:

  1. Fill in your ACS application form (PDF, 5.81 MB, 21 pages) – you must tick ‘Licence Management’ (A5) on the form.
  2. Complete and sign the Licence Management Partnership Agreement (ODT, 47.7 KB)
  3. Complete and sign the Code of Connection (ODT, 24.8 KB)
  4. Send us digital copies of all 3 documents through your SIA online business account, along with a digital copy of your Cyber Essentials Plus certificate.

Step 5

We will acknowledge your application and carry out our eligibility checks.

Step 6

We will contact you to tell you the outcome of our checks.

If you are eligible, you can book an assessment with your preferred assessing body [please continue to step 7].

If you are not eligible, we will explain why. If you wish, you can re-apply when you are eligible.

Step 7

Your assessor will send a copy of their report to us. We will review your application and assessment report, and will decide whether to approve you to use our Licence Management service.

We will contact you to tell you our decision.

If we approve your application, we will advise you of the next steps to take.

If we refuse your application, we will explain why you do not meet the criteria for using our Licence Management service. We will give you a set timescale in which you can make changes. If you do, we will review your application, taking into consideration the changes you have made.

Step 9

We will publish your approval to use the Licence Management service on our register of approved contractors.
