Enrol for the Manage your Vaping Products Duty online service if you’re an approved vaping products manufacturer.
Use the Manage your Vaping Products Duty online service to submit monthly Vaping Products Duty returns and payments.
You must be an approved manufacturer of vaping products to enrol. If you’re not already an approved manufacturer, find out how to apply for approval from HMRC.
When you should enrol
As soon as you get your vaping products approval ID, you should enrol onto the Manage your Vaping Products Duty online service.
What you’ll need
You’ll need your 13-digit vaping products approval ID. The vaping products approval ID is made up of 13 characters (for example, GBWK1234567WK).
You will also need one of the following:
- your business postcode
- your Corporation Tax Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)
- your Self Assessment Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)

How to find your vaping products approval ID
If you have already applied for approval to become a UK vaping product manufacturer, you can find your vaping products approval ID in the approval letter that we sent to you.
Enrol online
To enrol in this service you’ll need an organisation account administrator Government Gateway user ID and password. You will not be able to use a personal Government Gateway user ID to enrol.
Online services may be slow during busy times. Check if there are any problems with this service.
After you’ve enrolled
You must submit monthly returns and payments using the service.
You’ll need to submit a nil return even if you have not manufactured any vaping products in a month.
The first return will be due on the 7 November 2026.
