Duty solicitors rotas, lists, standard crime contract 2010 and contact details.

Duty solicitor rotas 1 April 2016 to 30 September 2016

Below are the rotas for use between 1 April 2016 to 30 September 2016:

We will not accept feedback over the phone.

Duty solicitor rotas - October 1st 2016 to 31st March 2017

Below are the Duty Solicitor Members (MS Excel Spreadsheet, 2.23MB) Lists for the rotas commencing 1st October 2017.

We ask that feedback concerning the members lists is provided by email only, so that we can keep a record of any issues and amend and respond accordingly to those who raise them, please allow us time to respond to any feedback. The deadline for us to receive feedback relating to the members lists is Monday 25 July 2016.

The CRM 12 application deadline for these rotas is Friday 8 July 2016.

Please send a CRM12 application by email to dutysolqueries@legalaid.gsi.gov.uk no later than 23:59 on Friday 8 July 2016.

We will not accept late applications.

You will only need to complete and send us a CRM 12 application for new duty solicitors or duty solicitors who will have joined your firm by the start date of the new rotas or where applicable - duty solicitors who have moved office/scheme within your firm by the start date of the new rotas.

If this is your first CRM 12 Application, it must be supported by a Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme Certificate which has been issued by The Law Society.

E-mail us at dutysolqueries@legalaid.gsi.gov.uk before Friday 8 July 2016 if a duty solicitor gives formal notice of leaving or leaves your employ, or if any of your duty solicitors are under investigation for, or have been charged with a criminal offence. Duty solicitors are not eligible to be on the new rotas if they are not employed by you on the start date of the new rotas.

We expect to publish new member’s lists (not rotas) on our website by Monday 18 July 2016 to allow firms to check that their Duty Solicitors are recorded correctly. We ask that feedback is provided by email only, so that we can keep a record of any issues and amend and respond accordingly to those who raise them. The deadline for us to receive feedback relating to the members lists is Monday 25 July 2016.

Changes in circumstances

Please email dutysolqueries@legalaid.gsi.gov.uk if a duty solicitor gives formal notice of leaving or leaves your employment.

2010 standard crime contract

The 2010 standard crime contract is critical for legal aid providers in criminal matters.

Apply for more duty slots

You will only need to complete and send us a CRM12 application for new duty solicitors or duty solicitors who have just joined your firm.

Fill in the CRM12 for newly qualified duty solicitors by the deadline - usually 2 months before the rota starts. New rota slots will then be allocated.

If this is your first CRM12 application, it must be supported by a Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme certificate from the Law Society.
