What the app does

The GOV.UK app gives you time back by making your interactions with government more personalised and proactive.

You can use it to:

  • save relevant topics to the app home screen, helping you get to the content you need most

  • keep a record of pages you’ve visited, making it easier to return to content you need to access regularly

  • quickly find services for your local area, as entering your postcode will add a link to your local council’s website to the app home page

  • get notifications about things like important dates and deadlines and services you might find useful

  • search and browse for GOV.UK content

Accessibility of the app

We want as many people as possible to be able to use the GOV.UK app. The accessibility statement for the GOV.UK app describes how it works with assistive technologies.

First release
