Changes from the previous early years census

New data items
We’ve added 2 codes to record the total number of under 1-year-olds (N00816) and 1-year-olds (N00817) at the setting (funded and unfunded).
Existing data items
Expanded Hours (N00787) has been amended to allow up to 30 hours to be claimed, following the policy change from September 2025.
Deleted data items
No data items have been deleted.
The following changes will take place for the termly collections beginning in summer 2026.
New data items
- < UnqualifiedStaff > (N00818) and < SENCOStaff > (N00819) have been added to the Staff information module.
- < SENtype > (N00166), < SENtypeRank > (N00024) and < UPN > (N00001) have been added to the Pupil/child module.
Existing data items
< EYSchoolRelationship > (N00262) has been amended to only cover provision that is delivered on the school site.
