Child safety: Nil By Mouth Ingestion Product Safety

OPSS is leading a fresh campaign to raise awareness among parents and carers about potential hazards to children associated with swallowing small objects.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is leading an important campaign to raise awareness among parents and carers about the potential hazards to children associated with putting items such as button batteries, magnets, imitation food and small toy objects in their mouths and ingesting them.

OPSS is keen for groups, businesses, and individuals to support and share the materials on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by using the hashtag #nilbymouth.
