Youth Covid-19 Support Fund - final awards list

DCMS secured £16.5 million for the Youth Covid-19 Support Fund to support grassroots youth clubs, uniformed youth groups, and national youth and umbrella organisations. This funding is mitigating the impact of lost income during the winter period due to the coronavirus pandemic and ensuring that services providing vital support to young people can remain open.

The funding for the Youth Covid-19 Support Fund has come from the £750 million support package for charities. The Youth Covid-19 Support Fund builds on at least £88 million that has already been provided to organisations which support children and young people to achieve their potential through other elements of the support package for charities.

The fund opened for applications on 15 January 2021 and closed on 19 February 2021. Final assessments have been made on the bids received and funding has been disbursed, with every organisation that was eligible according to the criteria laid out receiving funding.

The Youth Covid-19 Support Fund has awarded funding to 551 youth organisations, including 540 local, grassroots youth groups and services, and 11 national and umbrella organisations. £2 million has been allocated to vital youth work qualifications and training, including bursaries for students training to become qualified youth workers.
