Apply for a variation to a non-food animal blood bank authorisation

Apply to make changes (a variation) to an existing non-food animal blood bank authorisation (NFABBA).

Applies to England, Scotland and Wales

Use this form to apply for a variation to an existing non-food animal blood bank authorisation (NFABBA).

You must submit a variation application to the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) if you plan to make any changes to an authorisation that could impact the quality, safety or efficacy of the products manufactured.

Before you start

You should read the guidance on how to apply for specific manufacturing authorisation, which includes information on NFABBA variations.

If your variation requires a label change, you will need to upload draft labels as part of your application. These must be in accordance with the labelling requirements set out in Schedule 2 of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.

You will also need to upload a valid good manufacturing practice (GMP) certificate, if your site has one.
