Science, innovation and tech underpin the economies of both Poland and the UK. Encouraging work between the two countries therefore produces benefits for both.

To promote international collaboration the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office jointly fund the UK Science and Innovation Network based in 40 countries around the world.

Science and Innovation in Poland

SIN Poland work to the following global objectives:

  • influence science and innovation policies of Polish government, industry and academia to benefit the UK
  • improve UK policy based on international experience and emerging opportunities and challenges with Poland
  • stimulate strategic science collaborations with Poland to benefit the UK and deliver wider policy goals
  • harness Polish international technology partnerships and investment to grow UK innovation capability

Priorities

SIN Poland aims to facilitate, enhance and increase research, innovation and tech collaborations between UK and Poland. SIN Poland focuses on the following priority themes:

  • Research Culture (including research excellence, technology transfer and research security)
  • Global Health (including genomic medicine and digital health tech assessment)
  • Emerging technologies (including AI, quantum and space)
