Passports and visas
- You don’t need a visa to travel to Germany, but your passport should be valid for the duration of your trip
- Remember your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) but also take out travel insurance, even if you’re only going for one night - it could save you a lot of money if you get into difficulties
- You must carry your passport with you - you might need it to gain entry to the stadium
- If you lose your passport, you will need to get an Emergency Travel Document from the British Embassy in Berlin, the next day
Getting to the stadium
- The Volkswagen Arena is situated less than 10 minutes by vehicle from the city centre or a 10-15 minute walk from the railway station (Wolfsburg Hauptbahnhof).
- If travelling as part of an organised tour, please contact the club or the travel agency for more information
At the match
- Everton supporters are seated in blocks 29-36. Entry in via the south and south east gates (Süd / Süd-Ost) at the away end. Wheelchair spaces are located close to Block 29 and entry is via the South East (Sud-Ost) gate.
- For all UEFA Champions League matches, turnstiles open 120-minutes prior to kick off (5:00pm local time). All supporters must be inside the Arena no later than 30-minutes before kick-off
- Only valid ticketholders will be admitted to the ground. People with damaged or forged tickets, or people who have lost or had their tickets stolen will be turned away
- Access to the stadium can be slow. Fans enter by inserting the ticket into a reader and passing through the turnstile. Searches will be conducted by stewards after fans pass through the turnstiles. Drunk or disorderly fans will be turned away
- In addition to items which would usually be prohibited in the UK, please note the following restrictions at the stadium. No bottles and cans are allowed to be brought into the ground. Flags and banners with metal poles are not allowed.
Tips
- As in any other city beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers at airports, railway stations, around the town centre and when using public transport. Only carry what you need and leave spare cash and valuables in hotel safety deposits
- Change money at a bank, hotel, or in exchange kiosks – NOT on the street (it is illegal and counterfeit money is punished by a prison sentence in Germany).
