Uruguayan MPs visit the Falkland Islands

Four Members of Parliament are visiting the Falkland Islands this week, invited by the local Legislative Assembly.

Uruguayan MP's will visit the Falklands

Diputados Jaime Trobo and Daniel Mañana, from Partido Nacional, Fitzgerald Cantero, from Partido Colorado, and Daniel Radío, from Partido Independiente, will have several meetings, including contact at Parliamentary and business levels. They will have the chance to visit not only the capital, Stanley, but also the interior and the surrounding smaller islands.

Jan Cheek, Chair of the Falkland Islands Assembly, said that the objective is that the MPs experience the way of life in the Islands and see firsthand the commercial opportunities available which could benefit both Uruguay and the Falkland Islands.
