A group of Uruguayan journalists visited the Falkland Islands in November/December this year. María Eugenia Dupin (Radio El Espectador), Enrique Sánchez (Paysandú’s El Telégrafo newspaper), Andrés Sena and Alfredo Mesa (Televisión Color network for the interior of Uruguay) were invited by local government to experience at firsthand life in the Islands.
The journalists’ coverage included articles, reports and photographic galleries. Some of the relevant issues covered were the fishing industry, education and the existing links between Uruguay and the Falklands.
