The United Kingdom condemns the violence against foreign nationals in South Africa and extends its sympathy and condolences to those who have been affected. We support the efforts of the South African Government to protect those vulnerable to attacks, and welcome the expressions of solidarity from many South Africans for a timely and peaceful resolution.
