The new British Ambassador to Helsinki, Sarah Price, presented her credentials to the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, on 16 January 2014.

In a short and warm ceremony marking her official accreditation to the Government of Finland, the Ambassador said the UK and Finland enjoy excellent relations and she looked forward to deepening cooperation between the two countries, especially in business and trade.

This is not the first time Sarah has worked in Finland. In 1992, she was a member of the UK Delegation to the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE), and in 1999, during Finland’s first EU Presidency, Sarah was seconded to Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Third time round, Sarah is delighted to return to Helsinki as Her Majesty’s Ambassador.
