The Muscat Amateur Theatre presents’ A little Bit of Shakespeare, sub-titled ‘ Your Are Quoting Shakespeare’ , which comprises a series of extracts from William Shakespeare’s plays of comedy, romance and tragedy on Tuesday 1 March, Wednesday 2 March and Thursday 3 March. The performances will be held in the British Embassy compound. The British Embassy in Muscat is marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death . He remains a global phenomenon. His work has been translated into more than100 languages and is studied by half of the world’s schoolchildren. This is why through 2016 the world will be celebrating 400 years of Shakespeare’s legacy as one of the greatest playwrights of all time and this why the UK invites everyone to join in through the’ Shakespeare’s Lives’ initiative.
