Supporting Cyprus public sector reform

The British High Commissioner, Matthew Kidd, signed an agreement with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Mr Christos Patsalides, in the presence of the Commissioner for the Reform of the Civil Service, Ms Emmanuella Lambrianides at the Ministry of Finance today (8 August) to help strengthen the public sector in Cyprus.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the High Commissioner said: “It is not only a pleasure but a source of pride that Cyprus turned to the UK, alongside the World Bank, to help support the public sector reform project. This demonstrates the strength of our friendship and the common values that we share. Many challenges may lie ahead but we look forward to working together to help deliver a first class public sector service to support the people of Cyprus.”
