Statement following tragic road accident in Montenegro
The British Embassy offers condolences to the victims of the accident.
British Embassy Podgorica issued a statement today (24 June 2013) following the recent tragic loss of life in Montenegro:
The British Embassy in Podgorica is deeply saddened by the loss of life and injury following the tragic bus crash on the road from Kolasin to Podgorica, on 23 June. We wish to convey the UK’s sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who died. We wish those who remain injured and in hospital a speedy recovery. We offer our profound sympathy to them all and to our Romanian colleagues and friends.
Our thoughts are also with the Montenegrin authorities and all those in the emergency services who worked tirelessly, and continue to work, to support the victims of the crash. We commend their professionalism and dedication. We also commend the citizens of Montenegro who responded immediately and in great numbers to the call for blood donors.
