Roma vs Manchester City
Advice for fans travelling to Italy for the Roma and Manchester City Champions League game on 10 December 2014.

Passports and Visas
- check that your passport is valid for your whole trip to Italy;
- make sure that your bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) - this proves your entitlement to free/reduced cost health care if you need medical attention;
- the EHIC does not replace comprehensive travel insurance though. It does not cover the entire cost of hospitalisation, and does not cover repatriation should that become necessary.
Getting to the stadium

the meeting point for Manchester City supporters will be in Piazzale delle Canestre, in the Villa Borghese park where a small refreshment area will be provided. Free shuttle buses will start leaving for the stadium at 4.00pm;

to use the shuttle bus: take Metro Line A to Flaminio/Piazza del Popolo; take the entrance to Villa Borghese through the archway onto Viale Washington, then onto Viale F. La Guardia to reach Piazzale delle Canestre, from where the shuttle buses will depart;

the police will be distributing an info sheet at the airports and in Villa Borghese;

the police have stressed that fans should be strongly encouraged to use the shuttle buses and not make their own way to the stadium. Fans should avoid the area south of the Olympic stadium, in particular Ponte Duca D’Aosta, where Rome fans normally gather before the match;

the Italian police and stewards will conduct ticket checks and security screening. You might be required to show an identity document if your name is printed on the ticket. Any items that could be used as a weapon, like glass or plastic bottles, are not permitted inside the stadium;

combined Metro and bus/tram tickets can be purchased from most tobacconists, bars, or vending machines at metro stations and major bus stops and cost €1.50 each. Please note that bus and tram tickets must be stamped in the small yellow ticket machines found on buses and trams, as soon as you start your journey. Failure to do so will result in a fine if checked by an inspector;
