Moroccan journalists on freedom of expression
British Embassy Rabat asked two journalists about their views on the importance of freedom of press on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.
To celebrate World Press Freedom Day, the British Embassy in Rabat asked Abdelhak Belachgar, journalist from Akhbar al-Yawm leading Arabic daily, and Ismail Azzam, journalist at Hespress, the most popular news website in Morocco, to answer one fundamental question about the importance of freedom of press to them.
World Press Day is an occasion to raise awareness on the importance of freedom of the press and the need to respect and uphold the right to freedom of expression.
