Mentoring young entrepreneurs in Morocco
The Forsa business mentoring initiative is designed to help boost economic development throughout the region.

The Forsa Mentoring initiative, a UK-sponsored support programme for young entrepreneurs, has been celebrating its success so far in Morocco. The programme has benefited dozens of young Moroccan entrepreneurs operating in the areas of handicraft, information technology and services, by connecting them with a more experienced business mentor, to advise them on how to ensure their company succeeds. 40 per cent of participants in the programme are women.
On 26 March 2014 British Ambassador to Morocco Clive Alderton hosted in Rabat a reception in honour of the mentors and entrepreneurs participating in the Forsa programme in Morocco. Ambassador Alderton said:
Meeting young Moroccan entrepreneurs today has been a powerful reminder of the talent and potential that exists in the private sector in this country. But even the best new businesses can fail if they don’t get the right advice. This project is about matching talent and ideas with experience, so that Morocco’s best new companies continue to grow and create jobs. It is another example of practical UK support making a real difference in Morocco
Forsa is a UK-sponsored initiative, which is part of a commitment by the G8 and Deauville Partnership nations to support Arab countries in transition. FORSA support entrepreneurship across the Arab region through innovative mentoring and assist governments in ongoing efforts to improve the business programme environment, foster economic growth, and create sustainable private sector jobs.
