Lieutenant Faton Beskteshi (25), a member of Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and a graduate of Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), travelled to the UK in January 2014 to present his perspective on the current situation in Kosovo.

Faton was invited to speak at the UK Defence Academy (Shriveham) in Wiltshire as part of an ESRC Seminar Series, in partnership with Kings College London, with a title of ‘NATO and its Evolving Partnerships’. The Seminars have been designed to create space to have conversations on the role of NATO post Afghanistan.

Faton said:

It was a real honour to have been asked to contribute to the Seminar at an impressive and world leading institute like Shrivenham. I really enjoyed the experience and I loved the opportunity to return to the UK for the first time since my graduation from RMAS in 2010. I even had time to catch-up with British colleagues from Sandhurst whilst in the UK, which helped to bring back happy memories of my time in British Officer training.
