A vacancy has arisen for the position of Corporate Services Officer on a temporary basis at the British Embassy. The successful candidate will be expected to deal with general administration issues involving both UK and local staff, including estate management, procurement and staff administration. Previous accounting experience would be desirable but not essential. The job holder would be the Embassy Back-up Accountant (full training will be provided). The Corporate Services Officer also has line-management responsibility.

The majority of the finance and estates work is carried out on the databases; therefore, candidates must be IT-literate in Microsoft Office. The ability to multitask and work accurately and with attention to details is also essential. The successful candidate will also be able to work effectively as part of a team, sometimes under pressure, and have strong customer service skills.

Fluent Russian and English are essential; a good working knowledge of Uzbek is preferable, but not required.

The interview with successful candidates will take place on October 8th, with tentative start date on October 15th.
