HMA Simon Collis launches Alumni Awards 2017 in Saudi Arabia
The Alumni Awards recognise the success of alumni who have studied in UK universities.

British Embassy and British Council Saudi Arabia launched the second year of the prestigious award celebrating outstanding achievements of the UK’s international alumni in Saudi Arabia. UK university alumni in Saudi Arabia can apply themselves or be nominated for the Alumni Awards 2017 from 7 September 2016. Last date for nominating an alumni for the Award is 16 October and for applying for the Award is 31 October 2016.
The Alumni Awards celebrate and showcase the impact and value of a UK higher education and raises the profile and reputation of UK alumni.
Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Simon Collis said:
I am delighted to launch the Alumni Awards 2017 in Saudi Arabia. The Awards recognise the success and achievements of alumni who have studied in the UK and are leaders in their field in Saudi Arabia. I wish alumni all the very best for the Awards and would like to thank them for their important contribution to strengthening ties between our two countries.
Alumni who have studied in the UK, within the last 15 years, at an officially recognised provider of UK university degree level study are eligible to apply. The Awards will be presented in three categories - Professional Achievement Award; Entrepreneurial Award and Social Impact Award. The Alumni Awards celebrate the exceptional stories of alumni who are using their UK education to make a positive impact on their professions, communities and humanity. We look forward to celebrating and sharing their inspirational stories through this year’s Alumni Awards.
Award nominees are announced in early January and the winners will be announced at a prestigious award ceremony hosted by the British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The Alumni Awards were developed by the British Council and UK universities. Saudi Arabia is one of 14 countries where the Alumni Awards will be held in 2017.
