The British Ambassador in Peru, James Dauris, said of Mr Testino’s honorary award:

“Mario Testino has maintained a close relationship with the United Kingdom over the years. His work in the United Kingdom, including his collaboration with The Royal Family, has allowed him to establish his reputation as one of today’s best portrait photographers. His work in Peru, without any doubt, has helped the world to know the colours and diversity of this country. Mario’s work has contributed to strengthening the cultural bridges between Peru and Great Britain. I’m delighted to see his talent being acknowledged in this rather special manner.”
