The British Deputy High Commission, Karachi in collaboration with the Avari Group of Hotels brings food lovers in Pakistan a taste of the best of British cuisine. The Food Festival will offer a range of the British food at the Avari Towers Karachi from 5 -10 October where renowned British Chef, Dominic South will delight us with a quintessentially British menu. Dominic’s food will also be available at a British themed night at Avari, Lahore on 12 October.

This evening, the British Deputy High Commissioner - John A. Tucknott MBE, joined David O’Hanlon, General Manager of the Avari Towers, Karachi, to celebrate the opening of the Festival where the Chef showcased British Culinary Heritage in a new facet to Pakistan.

Speaking at the occasion, British Deputy High Commissioner, John A. Tucknott MBE, said:

I am delighted to inaugurate the GREAT Food Festival, a testament to the fact that the Britain and Pakistan are nations of food lovers. This is part of our ten day long GREAT Festival.

Thanks to our partnership with Avari Towers, Karachi foodies have the opportunity to sample the best of British Cuisine.

The United Kingdom’s diversity in food and drink is staggering. Each region has its own specialities based on local traditions often stretching back centuries. But at the same time, it has also embraced other cultures, absorbing food, music and other traditions from around the world.

I would like to thank the chef, Dominic South and the team at Avari Hotels for the opportunity to share this experience with our friends in Pakistan.
