On 1 January 2015, the way customers apply for notarial and documentary services in China will change.

Email only now for online appointments for Consular services in China

To make an appointment please e-mail the relevant post with your preferred dates (please provide three options), a brief description of the service you require, your name and contact details. Appointment only systems operate across all posts. We will reply to confirm your appointment time:

  • British Embassy Beijing: consular.beijing@fco.gov.uk. Appointments available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 – 12:00. Closed Wednesdays.

  • Consulate General Chongqing: consular.chongqing@fco.gov.uk .
    Appointments available: Wednesday: 13:30pm – 16:00pm

  • Consulate General Guangzhou: consular.guangzhou@fco.gov.uk Appointments available: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:00 – 13:00. Closed Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • Consular General Shanghai: consular.shanghai@fco.gov.uk Appointments available: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9:00 -12:00 and 14:00 - 16:00. Tuesday and Friday: 9:00 - 12:00.

Please note that appointments can only be made a maximum of one month in advance.
