The UK is calling for the EU to take bold steps to create and complete an ambitious ‪‎Digital Single Market‬

At the conference in Zagreb on 11 March, we were presenting the UK vision for how Europe can stay at the cutting edge of the digital economy. Experts for digital market from the United Kingdom and Croatia and discussing Europe’s digital present – and future.

The UK is calling for the EU to take bold steps to create and complete an ambitious ‪‎Digital Single Market‬, free of unnecessary regulation that will bring huge benefits for consumers and businesses – and Europe’s economy in general.

At the conference, the UK vision was presented by Sydney Nash from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Nick Russell from UK Representation in the EU, Chris Sherwood from Allegro Group and UK investor and entrepreneur Inmaculada Martinez – Rubio. Croatian Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Hrvoje Marušić, Assistant Minister of Economy, Vedran Kružić and Assistant Minister Leda Lepri joined the discussion. Croatian digital experts and entrepreneurs, Ivo Spigel and Saša Cvetojević from Zagreb Entrepreneurship Incubator, Bela Ikotić from Software City Osijek, Ratko Mutavdžić from Projektura and Ivan Brezak Brkan from Netokracija presented their own experiences.
