Capturing the UK - Vietnamese diplomatic relation

Do you have photographs which recorded historic moments in the relationship between Vietnam and the UK? The British Embassy and Vietnam News Agency are looking for images which captured the essence and diversity of that relationship to include a photo exhibition in September 2013.

This exhibition is part of the year-long programme to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the UK-Vietnam diplomatic relations. The British Embassy and Vietnam News Agency call for contributions from people who have snapped momentous occasions in the Vietnamese and UK’s long friendship.

The UK and Vietnam have worked together over the last 40 years to strengthen both political and personal relationships; to help Vietnam to develop; and to enhance cultural exchanges and increasingly as places for UK and Vietnamese nationals visit and work.

Eligibility:

  • We call for contributions from all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners who are working and living in Vietnam.

  • Photos to be contributed can be either in the soft copy or hard one. For soft copy, the photos are in the .JPEG format with 300dpi/inche and from 2 to 3MB.

  • Photos can be coloured or black & white. Photos with words embedded are not eligible.

How to send photos:

  • For soft copy: Photos to be contributed will be sent to ukvietnamphoto@gmail.com with the subject: Photos for Exhibition.

  • For hard copy or CD with photos will be sent to The Communications Team, British Embassy Hanoi, 31 Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi

  • Contributors, please provide us your name, telephone, email and/or mail address, your flickr and facebook if any.

  • Deadlines: 31 July 2013
