British Minister starts an official visit to Uzbekistan

British Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office starts an official visit to Uzbekistan.

The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Tobias Ellwood MP, has started his official visit in Uzbekistan. The Minister arrived in Tashkent early on 05 April, where he will have bilateral talks with high-level officials in the Uzbek Government and Parliament over the next two days.

Tobias Ellwood was appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in July 2014. He was elected Conservative MP for Bournemouth East in May 2005. The Minister is responsible for: Middle East and North Africa; Afghanistan and Pakistan; Central Asia; Counter Terrorism; Defence and International Security; Human Resources. This is the first visit of the Minister Tobias Ellwood to Uzbekistan after his appointment as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State.
