Statistics on motor vehicles that were registered for the first time during 2018 and those that were licensed at the end of 2018.

During 2018, there were:

  • 2.9 million vehicles registered for the first time in Great Britain
  • 63,000 ultra low emission vehicles registered for the first time in Great Britain

At the end of 2018, there were:

  • 38.2 million licensed vehicles in Great Britain.
