Understanding the educational background of young offenders: full report
This full report follows the publication of a summary of key findings to support the government’s response to the Charlie Taylor review of the youth justice system.
This is a joint report between the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and the Department for Education (DfE) that presents findings from a major data sharing project between the 2 departments. The focus of initial analysis from this data share is on understanding the educational background, attainment outcomes, characteristics and needs of young people aged 10 to 17 years who were sentenced in 2014 in England and Wales.
