Section 1: Key messages

  • TIFF in Yorkshire and The Humber in 2022 was £622 million, an increase of £54 million (10%) from 2021.

  • Total crop output in Yorkshire and The Humber in 2022 was £1,396 million, an increase of £276 million (25%) from 2021.

  • Total livestock output in Yorkshire and The Humber in 2022 was £1,696 million, an increase of £213 million (14%) from 2021.

  • Total intermediate consumption in Yorkshire and The Humber in 2022 was £2,191 million, an increase of £380 million (21%) from 2021.

  • Direct payments have made up between 7% and 10% of the total outputs and subsidies in the past 6 years for Yorkshire and The Humber. In 2022, Direct payments made up 7% of total outputs and subsidies.
