Tax-Free Childcare Statistics provides information on the numbers of families and children with open and used Tax-Free Childcare accounts and the amount of government top-up they have received. The statistics also include open and used accounts:

This is a quarterly publication.
Corrections have been made to some figures in Table 1 within accompanying spreadsheet and charts 1, 2 and 10 in the commentary. Government top-up figures appearing in Table 1 column I, for months July-September 2025, were incorrect and have been changed. Government top-up figures originally appearing in Table 2 column I were correct and have not been changed. A change has also been made to Table 1 column H, total used as % total open accounts. The formula used in this column has been corrected and as a result all values in this column have changed.
