Revisions statement: Statistics on International Development final UK ODA spend 2024
Updated 26 September 2025
September 2025
The Data underlying Statistics on International Development final UK ODA spend 2024 file and Chart Table C1 were updated on 26th September 2025.
This was to correct a production error that occurred when redacting[footnote 1] sensitive data whereby 18 projects totalling £46.4 million from 2024 were incorrectly excluded from the dataset when they should have been included in a redacted form. All 2024 figures in the report and accompanying tables are correct as they are calculated based on the full, unredacted dataset.
Additionally, one project (£1.1 million) which was duplicated in the underlying dataset for 2019 was removed. This project was subject to a revision in August 2025 (see associated Revisions Note) and was inadvertently re-included in the published dataset in September; this has now been corrected.
A small amount of spend was identified as being incorrectly included in Chart Table C1 for 2017 (£43,160) and 2020 (£1.2 million). This was caused by an error in the production process and Table C1 has been corrected.

Some project lines have had sensitive information redacted, for example where publication would raise security or commercial concerns. This has been done in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 criteria. Additionally, due to the security situation in Afghanistan, we have temporarily removed potentially sensitive information (project title, description, channel of delivery, co-operation modality and detailed sector code) for UK Official Development Assistance (ODA) programmes in Afghanistan. ↩
